![]() In my case i have intel graphics card Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M so when i uninstall my Nvidia graphics driver nothing harmful will happen cuz my default graphic is intel. Warning: This issue constantly happens with users who have dual graphic cards installed on their machines, So please do not follow these steps if you have one graphics card. I had the same issue and here is what will solve it for you 100%: (here because people don't follow directions or provide f'n feedback -.-) Step 11 - (even rarer) uninstall/reinstall/update your audio drivers. Reinstall from steam/steamapps/common/gtav/installers - rightclick - run as admin. Step 10 - (rare -.-) Open program files and program files x86 - delete rockstar games / social club folder. Step 9 - delete my docs / rockstar games / gtav / settings.xml (For steam version - delete ANYTHING NOT a folder AND NOT a. ![]() (for that matter - if ANYTHING was put in the gtav folder. (uninstall gtav/reinstall does NOT remove mods) Step 7 - disable onboard gpu / make sure using correct gpu/port if multi gpu~ Or a few other places if you dig around - 64bit systems can be different too -.-Ĭonsidering the majority of people fixing with "pc restart" - I question any regedits for this. (though also stated to "work" under - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Direct3D\Drivers). Step 6 - Something else you can try - YMMV. (from steam/steamapps/common/gtav/_commonredist/directx/2010) bat - install directx again from the websetup - making sure to rightclick/run as admin. (yes, rightclick, edit it, and look at it if you want to verify its only moving files/making 2 folders)Īfter you've moved them with my. "Should" create 2 folders with 90 files each. bat file I wrote - it will move the directx files to backup folders for you- exit steam, rightclick. (next step (semiredundant) is done incase step3/dx install had issues/perms/corruption -.-) If you are on a laptop - you might be able to specify gpu in the gpu/driver control panel. If you have 2 gpu on a desktop pc - try disabling the onboard gpu. (don't use whatever windows automatically detects/installs) Install the new drivers you downloaded for your gpu/video card. ![]() (it has been repeatedly proven to work better than straight uninstall/reinstall for some) (Preferably- use DDU (display driver uninstaller) in windows safemode to uninstall them) Then uninstall your gpu/video card drivers. Hit windowskey pause/break - Click device manager on the left.Įxpand display adapters - find which one(s) you have and download the drivers for it/them. Then- open steam/steamapps/common/gtav/_commonredist/directx/jun2010 (now in steam/steamapps/common/steamworks shared) Open steam/steamapps/common/gtav/_commonredist/vcredist/2012 Rightclick gtav in steam, properties, local files tab, verify integrity of game cache~ If it is in ( ) - it is for the R* version of gtav. A report to Zendesk simply generated the reply they were sending out previously about slow downloads, flushing DNS etc. Unfortunately MS and Asobos seem to be having a hard time acknowledging the fault is at their end or in the code. can't see me flying before the weekend (I'm not leaving the PC on all night). ![]() That makes it a long slow process my friend, roughly 1.8Gb an hour and I've still got 60 Gb worth of files to download. The only workable solution people have found is to use a speed throttle such as Net Limiter and set it so FS20 downloads at no more than 500KB/s. Unfortunately this is also prone to the same file looping issue except this time there is 100 Gb worth of files to download. I'm on the Steam version and while Steam will verify its own files related to the game, the only way to repair/replace damaged core files is to download the whole thing again from the FS/Asobo server(which doing the Steam cache verify triggers). Unfortunately quite apparent from the greyed out menu items and FS5 looking graphics there was major file corruption as a result. It only started with the 1.8.30 patch which kept doing it, then suddenly aborted and let me in the game. Many people are experiencing it, including myself. You will find many threads on this looping issue on the Steam forum and one or two at Avsim.
